Access Rule

Access rule is an entity of data pipes, which defines an access of specific tables/datasets with/without a classification tag(s) to a data pipes role.

CDC

Change Data Capture refers to an ingestion mode supported by data pipes.

This mode is only supported for RDBMS sources which have CDC enabled.

In this mode, the replication will run at a defined schedule to read the data from RDBMS logs from the last checkpoint and ingest. It doesn’t fully refresh the data in destination rather it will do the append operation.

Dataset

Dataset refers to Athena or Snowflake dataset. It is an entity to group one more table together under one parent entity.

Domain

Domain is an entity of data pipes. It refers to a business unit in the organization. For example HR, Finance. It is an entity to hold access control rights for one or more datasets in the organization.

FULL

FULL is an ingestion mode supported by data pipes.

In this mode, the replication will run at a defined schedule to read the entire source data and fully refresh it in the destination at every run.

INCREMENTAL

INCREMENTAL is an ingestion mode supported by data pipes.

In this mode, the replication will run at a defined schedule to read & ingest the data from the last checkpoint. It doesn’t fully refresh the data in destination rather it appends the incremental data changes to the ingestion target destination
